About a month ago I went on a trip to the Trafford centre with my friend Amy in search of graduation attire. I didn’t get much to wear for graduation, but I did get a hell of a lot of makeup! I picked up some absolute gems – things I’ve been after for a while, and a few things that I didn’t know that I even wanted. It’s safe to say I went a little crazy that day but I have no regrets – everything was on 3 for 2 in Superdrug! (P.S. – Reviews coming soon!)
The first thing is one of the many Makeup Revolution products that I bought. And if you’ve read my blog before, especially in the early days, then you will know that I love myself some Makeup Revolution! This is something that has been highly talked about within the blogging community – and that is The Fortune Favours the Brave palette (£9.99) in collaboration with British Beauty Blogger. I have to say, I can tell why this palette has been raved about by so many people. The range of colours and finishes, as well as the quality is fantastic for the price!
Next is a product I’ve been um-ing and ah-ing about for a number of months and that is the Radiance highlighter palette (£8). I had heard that some people use these like the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders instead of as a highlighter and I can see why. I have used these as both an all over setting powder and a highlighter, and the range of colours in this palette accommodate for all skin tones and situations.
First out of the two contour palettes I got on this shopping spree (both from Makeup Revolution), is the Ultra Cream Contour palette. I’m not really one for cream contour, and have only played with it in crayon form, so I thought this would be the perfect product to experiment with – and for only £8 it won’t break the bank. I can’t wait to review this one, so keep an eye out!
Next, to tie in with the cream palette, I decided I needed powder contour too. This is the Iconic Lights and Contour Pro (£8). The only thing I will say about this is that I wish the colours were in the same order and also slightly more similar to one another. However, Makeup Revolution have another powder contour palette that is very similar to the cream one above, but I prefer the one that I picked up – you will see why when I review it more in depth!
I’m going through a bit of a phase of trying as many foundations as possible, and L’oreal is a brand that I have never had a foundation from, so I decided to pick up the Infallible 24H Foundation (£9.99) in the shade 140 Golden Beige. I will be doing a first impression post on this so look out for that soon!
If you know me, have been reading my blog or watched my videos on Youtube, then you will know how much I love the Garner Micellar water, so when I saw that they had come out with an oil infused version, I knew I had to try it. I have super dry skin, so I am up for any sort of skincare that will give me some much-needed extra moisture.
Lastly, I popped into MAC. Not only did I pick up a backup Fix+ but I also finally got a pigment. I have been um-ing and ah-ing over pigments since my first MAC purchase. I wasn’t actually going to buy one, however after seeing Naked, I simply had to get it! I can’t wait to show you the swatches of this – it’s simply beautiful.
I will mention that I also purchased a pressed Translucent powder from Makeup Revolution as well, however I didn’t get around to taking a picture of it until I’d made a pretty big dint in it and the packaging wasn’t as pretty anymore (sorry, such a bad blogger I know!)
Anywho, let me know what you are most excited to see me review and I will try and get that post out quicker!
