Review: Sleek Au Naturel I Divine Eye Shadow Palette

If you read my previous posts, you will have seen this featured in my October Buys post, in which I said I would review this palette. So here it is.

Sleek Au Naturel I Divine Eye Shadow Palette

The Au Naturel palette from Sleek is priced at £7.99 in Superdrug, but I got mine for £5 as there was a deal on (two sleek products for £10). Sleek products are very raved about due to their pigmented shadows and affordable price. And this is no different. This is the second palette I own from Sleek, and I have to say this one is my favourite out of the two (the other being the Garden of Eden).

From the picture on the website, I wasn’t expecting the shadows to be as dark as they are in the palette – I am, however, happy that they are. There are a range of mattes and shimmers in this palette, with the majority being matte, making it perfect for everyday looks.
The lighter matte shades aren’t very pigmented and are harder to work with, and don’t swatch well either, but work well with subtle, everyday looks.
The darker colours in the palette are what this product is worth buying for. I am completely in love with the shade Conker – a dark brown shadow with burgundy shimmer. They also feel so smooth and velvety to apply. These are the shadows you dream of! The darker mattes are also great to use for smokey eyes as they blend out beautifully!

From left to right the swatches are Noir (matte black), Regal (matte purple), Mineral Earth (dark brown with bronze shimmer), Bark (matte brown), Moss (golden brown with gold shimmer), Conker (dark brown with burgundy shimmer), Taupe (gold with champagne shimmer), Toast (matte apricot), Honeycomb (matte warm beige), Cappuccino (matte cool light brown), Nubuck (matte light grey) and Nougat (matte off white/cream).
There’s a mixture of warm and cool shades in the palette so will suit all skin tones, as well as all occasions thanks to the mixture of matte and shimmer shades.
My favourite shades out the palette have to be Conker, Regal and Taupe as they make a great night time look with a subtle smokiness to it.
Let me know what you think of the palette and which is your favourite Sleek product in the comments.
