I only two weeks ago wrote about my February Birchbox* unboxing. HOWEVER, this month’s has already arrived!!
I was far more excited this month with the arrival of my Birchbox, because last month, I got the chance to pick a sample size of a Benefit mascara! Now, you may think I’d jump at the chance of trying out their recently launched Roller Lash, but if you follow me on Instagram, you’d have already seen that I recieved it in the March issue of +ELLE UK magazine.
This month’s theme was “Do try this at home.” and was in partnership with Habitat.
All that aside, let’s see what I actually got inside! ((so exciting))
Instead of a little bag with all the products inside like last month, the contents was covered in blue tissue paper. I found this a little bit underwhelming compared to last month, but the contents inside made up for this!
This month also came with 20% off Habitat until the 31st March, in-store and online. I personally won’t use that, but one of my friends or family might.
Naturally, the first product I pulled out and clapped my eyes on was the Benefit mascara. I chose the They’re Real! and was desperately hoping that’s the one I recieved and…. YES, I did!
I was so happy – I’ve been wanting to try this mascara out for a good few years now, but I just couldn’t justify spending £19.50 on a mascara if I wasn’t sure I was going to like it (I am so picky when it comes to mascara).
Next, according to my information card, is a Birchbox exclusive! And it is the Catherine Malandrino scent Style de Paris.
It’s a lovely fruity, yet citrus-y scent and I LOVE it! I’m also very picky with scents, but this one is just my cup of tea! I may even consider buying it, even with the hefty full-sized price tag of £50!
The next product I am very intrigued into trying as I have never even heard of this, never mind tried it. It is the Philip Kingsley Elasticizer pre-shampoo treatment.
The directions say to, before shampooing, wet hair and work into hair in sections, cover head with plastic cap for 10-20 minutes, wash out, shampoo and condition. Just need to get myself a shower cap…
Now this next product is the one I saw and was upset about receiving. It is the Serenity Skincare Dead Sea Bath Salt.
Now, I don’t actually have a bath, so I was upset because I wouldn’t get a chance to use it. However, last weekend I stayed at my Mum’s for a couple of nights, so used it then.
I was very surprised on first opening the bag that it actually had no smell, so that was good, as my skin is sensitive to strong scents in body products.
I was also very happy finding this product hiding away at the bottom of my box, the Lord & Berry Bronzer in Sunny.
This may just be aiding my addiction to bronzers, but I really could not be more happy! The colour is lovely for the summer months and and my skin tone.
The product itself is so soft to the touch. The only drawback of this product is the size of the pan, as I like to use quite a large brush to apply my bronzer. Although this would be a great addition to a Zpalette, which I am planning on purchasing soon.
Penultimately, I recieved the first few chapters of A Perfect Heritage by Penny Vincenzi.
I was very disappointed when finding this in the bottom of the box. I barely get time to read the books for my course, so never mind the books that I want to read out of enjoyment. This may appeal to some people, to be able to sample a book before they read it, but for me, at my point in life, I would never find the time to finish the whole book, so why should I read the sample.
I would have preferred to have received another product, however I will probably give this to my Mum, as she may like the story itself.
And last but not least, I got the CUTEST notebook ever!!
It is so tiny and so cute – I just love it! I have a bit of a notebook obsession, I have at least three active ones, and lots that I have half empty! This is one that will fit perfectly into my bag and use to write shopping lists and reminders! I just can’t wait to use it.
And that, is everything I got in my March Birchbox!
As always, thanks for reading!
